Harold Edward Pate
We are sad to announce the passing of Harold Edward Pate, age of 81, on January 14, 2012. He was the father of Rotarian President Rick Pate. He is survived by his wife, Joan Pate, who he had been married to for 59 years. He also has 5 children and 27 grandchildren. |

Leo J. Drum, Jr.Leo Drum, Jr., age 96, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at a local hospital. Born in Montgomery, AL. he attended The Barnes School, went on to Georgia Tech and graduated with the highest honor in 1935 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by TVA and later by the York Air Conditioning Company. |

January 9, 2012Our program was presented by Jamie Langley, news anchor for WAKA CBS 8, and Miss Alabama in 2007. Ms. Langley spoke on the upcoming Miss America pageant from the perspective of being in the national pageant herself in 2008. Ms. Langley said that being Miss Alabama changed her life forever, and the experience had helped her in many ways. Among other things, she mentioned that she made her best friend through the pageant, and received scholarship support sufficient to complete her college education debt free. |

Jimmy Rouse On Friday, Dec. 30th President Rick Pate and Rosemary Blackmon, VP 2012/13, presented Mr. Jimmy Rouse with his honorary lifetime membership certificate. Mr. Rouse has been a member of the club for over 60 year and was very proud to receive this honor.
